NUMBER OF DIVISION I SCHOLARSHIPS TO INCREASE
As part of a July settlement involving the NCAA, the number of Division I Men's Basketball scholarships that are allowed per season are likely to increase. Pending a final court approval, programs at this level will be allowed to offer scholarships to every player on their roster, instead of the previous limit of 13 full scholarships.
The NCAA will be implementing new roster limits with Division I men's basketball being 15 players. As a result, 2 additional scholarships at Division I programs will be available beginning in the 2025-26 academic year.
